Maxime Bernier, the leader of the People’s Party of Canada (PPC), has announced his candidacy for an upcoming by-election, with a promise to champion traditional family values and take a stand against what he describes as an “overtaken by evil” society, including what he refers to as “transgender madness.”
Challenging the Woke Culture and Cultural Marxism
In a passionate speech delivered to a crowd of supporters in Portage la Prairie, Bernier voiced his concern over the influence of “radical cultural Marxists” who he believes have taken control of the educational system, mainstream media, and governments. According to Bernier, these forces promote an agenda that is anti-life, anti-family, and anti-Canadian values. He specifically criticized gender ideology and the trans movement for promoting confusion and the potential harm to children.
A Stand Against “Fake” Conservatives
Bernier’s decision to run in the by-election stems from his desire to prevent what he refers to as another “fake” conservative MP from winning the riding. He emphasizes that his candidacy will not split the vote and impact the status of parties in the House of Commons. Instead, he presents a choice between sending a representative who merely echoes the party line on various issues, such as mass immigration, the war in Ukraine, transitioning kids, abortion, and climate alarmism, or electing someone who will give a voice to Canadians not currently represented in Parliament. Bernier is eager to bring important topics to the forefront and challenge the establishment parties.
The Riding and Bernier’s Arrest
Maxime Bernier will be running in the federal riding of Portage-Lisgar, Manitoba, which was previously held by former interim leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, Candice Bergen. In the 2021 federal election, the PPC candidate for Portage-Lisgar, Solomon Wiebe, achieved notable success, securing approximately 22% of the vote despite strong competition from Bergen. It is worth noting that the Portage-Lisgar area is where Bernier faced arrest in 2021 for organizing an outdoor rally that attracted attention both locally and internationally.
Fighting Against Immorality and Cultural Degeneracy
During his announcement speech, Bernier strongly criticized the “woke cult” for eroding traditional Canadian family values. He pointed out the rise of events like drag queen story hours, the indoctrination of young children into transgenderism, and the criminalization of opposing a child’s transition. Bernier expressed his concern about the current state of Canadian society, describing it as highly immoral and plagued by moral and cultural degeneracy. He highlighted the lack of any MP addressing these issues in the House of Commons.
The Conservative Party’s Failure to Conserve
Bernier did not mince words when discussing the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC). He claimed that the party, which was formed in 2003 through the merger of the Canadian Alliance and the Progressive Conservative Party, has failed to uphold conservative values. According to Bernier, the CPC has avoided engaging in important cultural battles related to gender ideology, mass immigration, climate change, diversity, and abortion due to fear of negative media coverage and being labeled as bigots. He stressed that the Radical Left has taken over society while the CPC remains inactive.
A Commitment to Fight for Values and Culture
If elected, Maxime Bernier promises to be a vocal advocate for his constituents and not shy away from pressing issues. He voiced his readiness to fight and urged the PPC to join him in the battle.
