The Carbon Con: How Liberals Robbed Canadians Then Called It a Gift

Imagine a thief stealing your wallet in broad daylight… and then coming back years later, handing you five bucks, and expecting applause.

Welcome to Canadian politics, 2025 edition — where the Liberals are now bragging about making life more affordable by removing the same carbon tax they forced on us in the first place.

Yes, really.

They’ve just pulled off the political equivalent of lighting your house on fire and demanding a thank-you for turning off the stove. And the most chilling part? They’re getting away with it. With a smile.

For years, Canadians were told the carbon tax was necessary. That it would “save the planet,” “fight climate change,” and somehow put more money back into our pockets. It was all carefully crafted spin — a marketing campaign wrapped in green guilt.

But now? With the cost of living through the roof, groceries through the stratosphere, and families barely hanging on — the Liberals quietly walk back part of their scheme… and expect to be praised for it.

That’s not leadership. That’s gaslighting.

They just admitted the whole thing was a scam. That the tax wasn’t about climate — it was about control. About siphoning billions from working Canadians under the guise of righteousness. And they’ve been robbing us blind with it for years.

So where’s the accountability?

Where’s the outrage from the so-called watchdog media? Where’s the refund for every overtaxed litre of gas, inflated grocery bill, or business that buckled under the weight of “climate compliance”?

And most importantly — how the hell is this acceptable?

If they can gaslight an entire nation, rob us, then hand back the change and call it generosity — what won’t they try next?

Do you feel like you’ve been conned?
