The Silent Epidemic: Unreported Vaccine Injuries and the FDA’s Hidden Role

As the world braced for the COVID-19 vaccine’s arrival in late 2020, a disturbing story remained largely untold—one of severe reactions, ignored warnings, and a public kept in the dark. According to Matthew Guthrie, an advocate and investigator into vaccine-related injuries, the early rollout of the vaccine was not the smooth, triumphant moment it appeared to be. Instead, behind the scenes, healthcare workers and trial participants were suffering from severe neurologic injuries, and the agencies responsible for the vaccine’s distribution were fully aware of it. The truth, however, never made it to the mainstream media.

In the initial stages of the vaccine rollout, numerous doctors, nurses, and participants in the vaccine trials began experiencing alarming neurological symptoms. Yet, instead of taking swift action to alert the public and ensure informed consent, the agencies in charge chose to remain silent. Guthrie revealed in an eye-opening discussion that internal communications from the agencies, which he has access to, show they were aware of “thousands of neurologic reactions” to the vaccine before it was released to the public. “We have emails that say, and I quote, ‘The agency is aware of thousands of neurologic reactions,’” he states. Yet, the public was kept in the dark.

This revelation raises serious questions: Why wasn’t the public warned? Why were these reactions dismissed as mere coincidences? Guthrie’s claims suggest a deliberate cover-up that left countless individuals to suffer in silence. Many healthcare workers who experienced these reactions, including those involved in the trials, were secretly flown to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for treatment and study—yet the media said nothing. “Where was that in the news?” Guthrie asks. “When did the public get to find out about these things?” The answer, it seems, is never.

Even as the situation worsened, those who spoke out were repeatedly ignored. Their requests were simple: transparency and accountability. The injured—doctors, nurses, and patients alike—just wanted the public to be made aware of the risks. They demanded that the vaccine’s warning labels be updated to reflect the severity of the reactions they had experienced. But, as Guthrie explains, that request was met with a chilling response from the FDA and the agencies involved.

“React 19,” a group consisting of injured physicians and credible individuals, took the bold step of arranging meetings with the FDA to demand the inclusion of these warning labels. But their goal was never to stop the vaccine itself. They simply wanted the public to have proper informed consent—the ability to understand the risks before deciding whether to take the vaccine. “They just wanted people to have proper informed consent,” Guthrie says, stressing that the call was never for a halt to vaccination, but for transparency.

The truth was out there, buried beneath layers of data. The groups advocating for proper informed consent knew that the neurologic reactions were not isolated incidents, but part of a widespread issue. Guthrie highlights the undeniable evidence found within three key sources: the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS). When comparing the data from these agencies, the results are chillingly consistent. “When you compare all three of these datasets together, you see the exact same rises,” Guthrie notes. “If you’re right, then that tells you something. It’s not an anomaly. It’s repeating in different databases. Now you know this isn’t a coincidence.”

Despite the mounting evidence of vaccine-related injuries, this critical information has been systematically ignored by the very institutions that should have acted. The silence is deafening, and the consequences are grave. Healthcare professionals and patients who suffered severe reactions were brushed aside, their experiences diminished. And as the public continued to trust the vaccine’s safety, they remained unaware of the thousands of lives impacted by these unreported side effects.

The question remains: How much longer will the truth be hidden? As we uncover more about this silent epidemic of vaccine injuries, one thing is clear: the fight for accountability and transparency is far from over. With agencies and institutions now facing mounting pressure, it is essential for the public to demand the full story and ensure that those who have been harmed receive the recognition and care they deserve.

This is not just about the past—it’s about preventing further harm and ensuring that the voices of the injured are finally heard. The public deserves to know the full extent of the consequences, and the agencies involved must be held accountable for the cover-up that has cost countless individuals their health and well-being.
